Jennie Ayers, President, is an experienced and certified coach specializing in building more effective communication, influence and leadership skills. Much of her work focuses on issues relative to how we engage with others and alter our behavior to positively impact interpersonal effectiveness. Jennie began her coaching/mentoring during 20 years of working in the entertainment industry, helping writers to more competently interface with the media. She uses her expertise in the art of improvisation to hone the skill of improvisational thinking and strengthen spontaneous communication. It was through this application, in 2003, that she collaborated with a business colleague to develop the practical field guide, An Improv State of Mind, which is used in conjunction with the Intentional WorkClimate™. This guide helps both individuals and teams improve communication and interpersonal performance.
To further strengthen coaching engagements, Jennie introduces her clients to the Process Communication Model (PCM)®, developed by Dr. Taibi Kahler, for which she holds a certification. She holds qualifications in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and often uses this assessment to help clients understand how typology impacts their communications, interactions and decision-making.
In 2006, Jennie became a trained HealthRHYTHMS™ facilitator. This fascinating, cutting-edge field, developed by neurobiologist Dr. Barry Bittman, blends biology and performance in a research-based protocol that focuses on the health, wellness and team building benefits of group drumming. Organizations using HealthRHYTHMS™ to reduce workplace stress, increase concentration and positively impact employee retention include: Toyota, Yamaha, Kaiser Permanente, Kennedy Space Center, Ford Motor Company, Planetree Hospitals and Panda Express.
Jennie holds a BA from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed her MA work at San Francisco State University. She coaches clients one-on-one and in groups and facilitates local workshops in improvisational coaching, coaching communication and the Process Communication Model.
