Connect. Collaborate. Conciliate.
Unshared knowledge is lost knowledge and lost knowledge is
wasted capital. In today’s global economy, collaboration is key,
an absolute necessity to the flow and capture of knowledge
between individuals and groups. But before
collaboration comes connection, the sharing of stories, the dissolution of barriers,
which allows us to accept and become vested in the ideas of others. When individuals
connect, they prepare to meet challenges collectively. When individuals connect,
they recognize the value of idea-generation over idea- geography. When individuals
connect, they reach across disciplines, they reach across countries, they reach
across continents to share knowledge…to collaborate.
This collaboration – this sharing of knowledge - brings about consilience,
the unity of all knowledge. In study after study of organizational effectiveness,
the single dimension that matters most is the human element and how workers interact
