Intentional WorkClimate - An Introduction
 

Intentional WorkClimate™ (IWC) is the powerful “psychological” climate through which people perceive subjective and influential aspects of their total work environment. This personal “perception of how things are” strongly impacts our ability to perform at our highest potential, engage with others and to positively value the experience of work.

Our Intentional WorkClimate™ system is a process of active facilitation and experiential learning which optimizes work satisfaction, enriches engagement and maximizes performance.

Our system drives beyond the simple measurement of work climate to emphasize the intentional facilitation of a work climate’s maximum vitality and motivational energy.

The core structure of Intentional WorkClimate™ is a triad:

  1. Perceive: An assessment of 10 Critical Perceptions that people experience about their work environment.

  2. Align: Between what the organization’s culture “intends to do” versus “what actually happens” in day-to-day work realities. We call this Critical WorkClimate Integrity.

  3. Sustain: Implement a continuous, integrated strategy with a clear, planful intention of sustaining a vital WorkClimate over the long term.

Research and experience both demonstrate that when these aspects of Intentional WorkClimate™ perceptions are intentionally facilitated and managed, people experience an optimized WorkClimate, engage in stronger collaborations and maximize their performance at work - and their organizations prosper.

Facilitation of Intentional WorkClimate

Our Certified facilitators facilitate the Intentional WorkClimate™ process for senior level management teams and workgroups. We can also provide one-on-one coaching for senior leadership who wish to acquire the knowledge and skill to “lead through” the Intentional WorkClimate™ system.

The basic Intentional WorkClimate™ program includes:


Entering the Intentional WorkClimate
Our facilitation process combines a focus on acceptance of the subjective perceptions of the WorkClimate along with the philosophical approach of Appreciative Inquiry. We emphasize the cooperative search for the strengths and successes of the WorkClimate and open the doors for positive, generative exploration.

Documenting the Intentional WorkClimate™ Log
The workgroup creates an Intentional WorkClimate™ Log action plan, which provides the concrete guidelines for sustaining Intentional WorkClimate™ goals and objectives.

Developing Muscles in the Intentional WorkClimate
A collaborative schedule is created which includes coaching and facilitation to keep the IWC progress on track, as well as reassessment at the 6 month interval and the 12 month anniversary.

Certification in the Intentional WorkClimate™ System

Because we believe deeply in the power and effectiveness of the Intentional WorkClimate™, we now offer an intensive IWC Certification for qualified professionals.

Through our IWC Certification process, individuals will learn everything necessary to introduce, coach and facilitate a complete Intentional WorkClimate™ program in an organizational setting. During IWC Certification, individuals receive all reference materials required for their in-depth education and development.

Certification further assures that each Certified IWC Facilitator has secure access to purchase all collateral materials for ongoing delivery of the basic Intentional WorkClimate™ program. All certification programs are delivered and authorized by Kris Campbell, founder and Principal.

Qualified individuals include the following:

  • In-House Organizational Development Professionals and In-House Human Resource Professionals with experience and/or education in a field of behavioral science.

  • Executive level leaders (Directors, VPS and above) within organizations who want to proactively lead and optimize the Intentional WorkClimate™ system.

  • Independent Consultants with Organizational Development background.

  • Leadership and Executive Coaches, in an active practice, who wish to add a significant and valuable intervention to their coaching business.
